Background
Pamela Kramer
lives and works in
Littleton, Colorado. She has written hundreds of
articles for national consumer magazines on a
variety of subjects, such as parenting, psychology,
health, safety, time management, organization, money,
consumer topics and more. She is a regular contributor to
Woman's Day and Parents. Her work has
also appeared in Family Circle, Redbook,
McCall's, Parents, Parenting, Working Mother,
Family Life, American Baby, Writer's
Digest and many others.
Pamela started writing professionally almost 20
years ago when she was employed as a human resources
specialist for a large Denver-area school district
and began covering career and employment issues for
several national magazines. Since then she has
pursued a wide range of subjects, from the science
behind good decision making to surviving the first
year as a new parent with multiples.
She is an experienced
researcher who can track down the latest studies,
top experts and real life anecdotes on nearly any
subject. She is a meticulous reporter who has never
missed a deadline.
Workshops
Pamela has taught workshops and spoken on panels on
freelance writing for the
Colorado
Authors' League and the
Denver Woman's Press Club. She has also given
talks at libraries and schools. Some of the classes
she has taught include how to get published in
national magazines and how to write query letters
that land assignments.
After attending the query class she recently
presented at the Colorado Authors' League's Writers'
Boot Camp: The Art and Craft of Nonfiction, a

Affiliations
Pamela is a member of
the American Society
of Journalists and Authors (ASJA) and the
Colorado
Authors' League (CAL), where she currently
serves on the board of directors. She is also a
contributor and co-editor of the organization's
first book: Writing, Etc.: More than 250 Tips on
Craft, Marketing, and the Writer's Life from the
Colorado Authors' League, which will be
published by
Ghost Road Press in March 2006.
